Default RMAF favs

I enjoyed the Festrex setup very much. very expensive fullrange with
very inexpensive bass drivers on the bottom (Acoustic Elegance OB15).

Just as good, but a completely different sound, was the JansZen room.
A weary David Janszen with a rumpled suit gave a very favorable demonstration of his closed-back electrostatic system, with two different
dynamic drivers on the top and bottom of ea. unit. Boulder supplied the
amplification. The sound was smooth and very detailed without any hint of
harshness. Another system one could listen to all day and never feel that
one is missing out on any aspect, want another system, or feel that one had
to play only one type of music. I did not ask, but I do not think that this
speaker system costs NEARLY as much as the Feastrex setup. Thanks David,
for you patience and expertise.

In the less than to the moon price category, a shoutout and welldone to
Fritz Loudspeakers. $1650 for a nice monitor with a top of the line Scanspeak 7" woofer, nice. very nice.

Thanks for your kind praise, mor2bz. Always nice to have an appreciative audience.

On the commercial board where you posted before, I just covered the price and our current special offer, which I don't think is allowed on this board. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...17#post1945117

FWIW, the amplification was a pair of Bryston 28B SST2 monoblocks, the preamp was a Boulder 2010, and the disc player was a Wadia 381, all pretty expensive and very excellent gear.
