Even though I like 8'' woofers, I am hoping to keep the cab slim for this one. So, 6.5'' woofers would work for me. I know the mids are a bit pricey but I would like to be more price conscious on the woofers.

IMHO, the midwoofers that Exodus Audio is bringing on line makes just about any other choice moot. It's a 6.5 inch with an XBL^2 motor, cast frame and huge throw. It capable of displacing more air than most 8 inch drivers. This is a near SOTA driver that will have a price that will put high performance audio within reach of all but the cheapest speakerbuilders.

If you haven't heard about these you owe it to yourself to consider placing them on your shortlist of drivers.

Best Regards,
TerryO

Yes, I've seen the post and they certainly look stout to say the least. Maybe I'll hold off until some people get them in their hands and offer independant tests and opinions. If thet are a good match for they Etons it would be a great cost saving.
