Default Problem with my speakers, help needed...

I bought a cheap Marantz amp on ebay and I was doing some testing with it today. I guess I made a terrible error hooking it up to my Altec Santanas. I noticed that the right channel was cutting out the bass a little bit. It was weird as it was only cutting out the bass, the treble was still there. I played for a while, around 10 minutes. Then, I realized that the woofer in that particular speaker is not working, unless I make a slight pressure on the cone with my finger . It might be just a subjective opinion, but it seems that the sound of the left speaker is worse but both drivers are still playing. I measured the DC offset of the amp and it read about 30 mV on both channels which is not that bad. Can anyone point out what has happened and what might have caused this? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like there's either some DC offset, or the drivers have been physically misaligned...

30mV, but if that's at a few amps...

Sounds like one of your speakers has a broken tinsel lead.

30mV is acceptable DC offset.

So...that would be a load of ~0.01 Ohms?
