I'm working on my first diy speaker pair. I think I'm almost ready to start putting everything together. I'm trying to determine the values for my zobel network for 2 parallel drivers. I've seen xo schematics with 1 zobel network for a pair of parallel so I'm guessing it can be done but not sure if it's ideal. Is it proper to have a zobel network for each woofer or is it okay to use 1 for both?
If 1 network is acceptable, I know that the Re of 2 identical speakers in parallel is half, but does that also stand for the Le of the 2 drivers? Also, I'm assuming (which I know what that probably makes me) that I would use half of Re for determining zobel component values. Is that correct? I hope I'm explaining my question properly. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks so much. |

Thanks! I did search before I posted my question but I was searching for zobel network and for some reason didn't think to search post names for impedance e.q.
Thanks again! |
