Default goodmans audiom 51 & decca kelly tweeters

i happen to have some time on my hands and a pair of audiom51 (15ohm) and decca kelly ribbon horn tweeters (not the londons, the ones that came before) knocking around.

i wondered if anyone had heard of combining the two before, and if so any links or ideas.

so far there seems to be some info on using decca tweeters in two way configurations and the tweeter specifications. however iam drawing a total blank on the goodmans audioms.

this would be a first project and possibly take the shape of an open baffle construction (as a sealed box for the goodmans maybe of prohibitive size and increases build time). i fully appreciate the outcome will not be the polished article, iam more concerned with not blowing the units and achieving a realistic result.

the plan at the moment would be to get the technical info on the drivers and get wilmslow audio to design a xover. however iam interested in input from the community.

I'm making a pair of speakers with Kelly's myself. I'm struggling with the crossovers, Decca states that it must be variable slope, I'm trying to find out what exactly that means. You must be careful with the crossover because any midrange will tear the ribbons apart. I know the slope must be steep, I rekon around 18dB.
I don't think the Audions are a problem they will go up to around 3.5k which is ideal for the Kelly's. Just remember to take 15 ohm into the equation when calculating the crossover.
If I find any info I'll let you know. I rekon if you crossover at 3.5k at 18dB you'll be OK.
