Default Advise Needed for Madisound Recession Buster 2

After this thread Space between Tweet and Mid
I realise I have more questions. So I thought it'd be better to consolidate into a single thread.

This is the kit I bought: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=8525

This project is for a friend. It will suspended with steel speaker mounts, close to the ceiling corners, I thought perhaps it will be better to reposition the vent to the front as opposed to madisound's recommended rear firing. I know this is one of the worst possible speaker placement but it's my friend's choice.

Herein, the questions arise.

1 While maintaining the space between tweeter and midwoofer, does it matter where the pair is positioned higher or lower on the baffle?

2 While maintaining the box internal volume, does it matter if the baffle size is made taller?

3 Any impact if I introduce a 1/2" 45 degreee chamfer on the baffle edges (baffle front narrower by 1")?

Any help and all comments are appreciated.

OK...from my admitted limited knowledge I'll try this..
On the issue of 'centered' driver arrangements..There is a large scientific body on the subject of "Diffraction" which is the interaction of frequencies on the front baffle panel.
The bulk of this science seems to be devoted to the higher frequencies of the tweeters and less toward the lower frequencies. Thats' why you see all these foam rings, gently rounded edges of the front baffle and various other "tweeks".
Perhaps they are splitting hairs on designs but grouped together they seem to make an audible difference.
From a common sense prospective I would tend to centralize the woofer...but not an exact center.
On the "taller" enclosure...The only thing I have on that is what is called the "acoustic ratio"..it is a height to width to depth ratio. Its' 1.2599 H-1W-.7937D.
The drawn design IS of a different ratio at 16" H - 8" W - 9,1/4" D. Recalculated EXTERIOR is 10.58"X13.288"X8.3966".
My take on the port is...there will be some cancellation of frequencies if the port is very close to the driver in the front port configuration....conversely there should be some phase/time delay "problems" with the rear port "sound" chasing around the baffle trying to catch-up with the frequencies emitted from the woofer cone.
Again I am not aware of sciences of port placement nor enclosure shapes other than these ones.
Myself?? I would go with the acoustic ratio, mount the woofer 3/5 ths' ( Appx 8") down the front panel (8.3966"X13.28..)), Offset the woofer side to side by one inch, mount the tweeter vertically above the woofer, put the port in the rear, offset toward the corner.
For construction I would use the 1" MDF (Watch for any weight issues for fly-mounting)....with the wood this thick you should be able to make some sweet radius'. All of this IMHO.
