I'm interested in calculating the mass normalized mode shapes for various loudspeaker diaphragms for simulation purposes in order to have a more complete understanding of their behavior.
I believe mass normalized mode shapes are scaled such that p*A*Integral of (mode)^2 = 1, where p = density and A = cross sectional area I'm specifically interested in cones, domes, and ribbons. I'm having a bit of difficulty sourcing the equations, if anyone could provide insight on this I would be much appreciative. Thanks, Thadman

Not sure what you mean by "mass normalized".
If you use FEM/FEA with correct material properties and thicknesses you'll get the correct modes. But I hope you know where to get those material properties.
