Hi Chaps,
Any thoughts as to the veracity of having a grooved front baffle? See Link: http://www.kharma.com/exquisite/khar..._reference.php Can these grooves aid wave diffraction, if so, in what way? Many thanks in advance, T.J. |

If they were bigger, they would probably be detrimental to sound quality since they would act as edges and produce diffraction. As small as they are, they probably do no harm.

I believe a good rule of thumb is that an obstacles dimensions must exceed 1/4 wavelength to have an appreciable effect, otherwise the wave behaves similar to a fluid.
In other words, it appears to be simply aesthetic related.
