Default Amplification for pro woofer testing

I'm about to vastly upgrade my amplification for pro woofer testing and my home setup as a whole. I have the luxury of a fairly unrestricted budget and was looking at:

1. Crown I-T8000 amp
2. Behringer DEQ2496 equalizer

Any thaughts..... anyone here own these??

Many thanks

Ric

I posted a few questions on amp forum (SS and Tube) with no answers to date. I'm buying (without testing) 2 QSCs GX5s. Please post your opinions on preamps too.

A 1W amp that can go from 1Hz to 10kHz is good enough for testing bass drivers.

Indeed.

Just what sort of testing do you want to do?
And what other use will the amp have?

FWIW
I would only use the DEQ2496 with an outboard DAC. Stock it does not sound great.
