Hi Speaker Folks,
I am normally to be found in the tube amp section and unfortunately know very little about speakers, so apologies in advance for my ignorance. I have been asked by a friend to help him replace the drivers (ruptured cone) on a Marantz speaker. I am looking for some advice/guidance. The drivers do not appear to be branded. They measure 7 inches in diameter and are labeled - D20FU90-04F 8ohm Taiwan 648304 The speakers are an old pair of Marantz LD25 75w speakers. I have searched the internet but cannot find any specific reference to the speakers or drivers. Does the reference code mean anything? Obviously they are 8 ohm impedance but that is about all I can make of the code. Can the driver be replaced with any 7 inch 8ohm driver? If so any advice regarding brand? Thanks in advance for any advice. Rob |
