I'm about to build my first speakers. I found this project that seems reasonable from parts express:
http://www.parts-express.com/project...roject=Tritrix My goals are to make a pair of great sounding speakers, whilst at the same time keeping the woodworking simple. Budget of <$900 I'm looking to blow away my current Infinity speakers in terms of sound quality. http://www.productwiki.com/infinity-primus-p252/ Any ideas if this kit is worth building, or should I move on to something else? If the kit has potential then I'm wondering if anyone has idea for upgrades. Thanks! |

For $900, I'd build something else.
Maybe something like this? http://zaphaudio.com/ZD5.html There's also an all-Scan design on there, the ZRT - but it might take more than $900. For less, I've also heard good things about these: http://www.speakerbuilder.net/web_fi...oject/eros.htm Lots of good options out there |
