are ultraflex cabinets "tuned"?

I have been looking at this project:

Is the ultraflex cabinet tuned by way of the length and number of the vents or ???

The tuning board part intrigues me but would the T/S parameters matter if I were to substitute another 12" pro driver without the adjustable soundboard??

The originals were not tuned in the modern sense (but they were tuned). To get optimum performance for different drivers, vent size and/or length need to change. One of the pluses of this kind of design is tolerance to change of T/S, but i look at it as tolerance for the changes in T/S that naturally come from change in voltage drive.
