Thumbs up Bravo to the Zaph !

Not only he gives away *very* valuable resources to amateur builders, but when criticism on his design came, he went ahead and bought the "competition" to have a listen!

Some of the others in this thread are right about the audible differences in output and bass extension in a large tower vs a small stand mount. Comparing them high passed with a sub might have different results. Still, cost is the only real bullet point, and all is fair in comparing anything to anything when the main issue is cost. You may have found a gem in the retail world and I'm curious to hear them for myself. It is admittedly getting hard to compete with retail on the mass production low end."
Awesome!... thanks Mr. Zaph

There may be a run on those C500 now !

can't wait till he shows us crossover. I wouldn't be surprised if there is just a single cap on tweeter and a pair of very high inductance woofers.
that's what I found in Sony 3way towers, just one cap for mid and one smaller cap for tweeter.
