Default Which one?

Greetings from Greece!
Need your help on tweeters,I really can't decide on which of the following tweeters to use on my upcoming 3way project.
The Dayton ribbon
http://www.parts-express.com/pdf/275-085s.pdf

the Fountek NeoCd2.0M
http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1556

or the Fountek NeoCd3.0M
http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1389

Please suggest only on sonic superiority since the whole project is going to to be actively crossed and EQed so sensitivity and power handling differences are not much of an issue.
Thanks in advance.

Get 8-10 of them and put them in an array (vertically!)
You should try also the Silver Flute , the only ribbon Madisound sells ,which costs less.
Probably this is not an issue for you.
Or search at Ebay in Germany , they have a wide variety of planar ribbons from the shops , brands like Dynasomething and Visaton. G'Luck!!

Line array sounds like a good idea but my budget doesn't allow for it.
I'm working on a WMTMW design and since I've got the other drivers,
I need a pair of tweeters that will do the job.
Who knows, maybe a line array will be my next project.
BTW the Silver Flute seems to be exactly the same with the Dayton one.
I really can't decide on the tweeters and my carpenter buddy is waiting
for my decision to start the baffles.

The PT2C-8 seems to be fine. Quite a bit cheaper than
the Founteks if main concern.

The Visaton MHT 12 is said to be one of the best by reviewers ... but who knows !
So you're bulding a tall and narrow cabinet , aren't you ?
You're lucky . My contorted mind would suggest to build big fat lazy speakers with woofers hidden in ripoles , mids back to back and out of phase in dipole , tweeters...

Well,if the Fountek is better, the pricing difference is not much of a problem. But is there anyone who can verify that?

I am bulding a 1,8m tall,34cm wide,37cm deep cabinet which is going to house
2 of these http://tymphany.com/files/products/pdf/830667.pdf
2 of these http://profesional.beyma.com/ingles/pdf/6B30P.pdf
and the ribbon in question.
The tricky part is that the MTM section is going to be OB
despite the fact that none of the tweeters in question is dipole.
So what's the point of OB?Well I wanted my speaker that way.
I must say that I am an absolute noob to speaker building
and a lot of you might say that this is too much of a project
for a noob(and you are probably right) but what the hell...why not?

Paul , there's another brand ,Grohmel&Something , maybe you should give it a try...
I suggest you to put in your baffle a tweeter (big) and a supertweeter (smaller) , so you won't say you didn't try...!

Sorry for my abstractness with the brands , though I hate to promote anything commercial. The ribbons are Bohender Graebener , if you remove the back they are true dipoles (...what else?),and come with 2 different versions -one is the DPR , the other ?-the neo8 would produce nice pressure from 700 Hz , so you wouldn't need the two mids ,although the ribbons may not interface well with the Beymas.
Bohender Graebener is shown in the local hifi shop near my house , there are beautiful "entry level" speakers shown , 4 little woofers boxed and the rectangular and circular mid-high ribbons in OB . White spectacular .
G'bye!

I was sure you were talking about the Graebeners.
The Neo8 looks very interesting but using it would mean different cabinets from the ones I already have since I wouldn't use any mids. Not to mention that I dont't think the 8" Peerless pair(not the Beymas),could succesfully be crossed that high.
Anyway I think I'll go for the Fountek NeoCd2.0M.
Thanks anyway!
