tonsil tweeters

yesterday i constructed a couple of near field monitors with a couple of visaton 6.5" visaton woofers and a couple of tonsil tweeters

i constructed a third order xover and the result was actually really sweet

the tonsil tweeters was simply available in my shop i was actually aiming for something more expensive like vifa audax or visaton ..... but the litle tonsils seem to do the job very nicelly

any coments ??

hello fellow greek friend..which tweeters you used?..i am very satisfied with tonsil speakers especialy with a paper cone tweeter..i dont remember its number.

Tonsils are not bad speakers at all, sadly this old Polish company is completely bankrupt now.

few years ago i bought a pair of 6 inch tonsil woofers that seemed too cheap in my eyes, as they costed about 15 euros each..well honestly even now i still find it hard to find same sweet sounding woofers.. all the other cheap woofers had paper sound.this had sweet sound!

i noticed my shelf ....only second order wasnt that crisp .... but third order was actually so nice ..... i am amazed

I've tried call Tonsil several weeks ago - totally dead. Very sad. Another Polish company Diora Swidnica produces enclosures for Tannoy, Canton, Triangle. For example Tannoy Canterbury cost ca. 750 EUR/pcs (!) and you can only buy if it does not fit Tannoy quality control. Triangle Magellan (TEC21) is cheaper ca. 300 EUR/pcs. and easier to get.
