Box volume D10G Hi-Vi.
Hi There all.
Has anyone had success with the Hi-Vi D10G woofers?
Im looking at putting together a three way system with these drivers,and was looking at using a reflex box of 80 litres.
The other drivers are the 15w75 dynaudio for the middle range/or the D5G midbass unit in around 7litres sealed.
The tweeter is an mdt32 morel.
The crossover is a little tricky due to the sensitivity of the D5G...and the dyn for that matter also.
Has anyone got any thoughts on the box volume and port please.

I have these drivers. Since they have a low EBP, they are well suited to a closed box design. I was planning to use a sealed box with linkwitz transform, which may not even be required depending on room gain (-3db at 41Hz is the response in 80L).

I have since changed to a smaller design and so never actually implemented the woofers (they are for sale in fact on here). I tried them in a dipole though and they perform rather well :)

On looking at what you did with the drivers,and the responce to my question,i thought i better have a good look at the D10G a whole lot closer.
I have found that there are two sets of numbers for this woofer on the set the manufacturer claim and another from the States.
Anyway the EBP i caculated for the Swan/cum responce/Jaycar woofer sold in Australia =52. The American/cum parts express and others has an EBP of 46.3.
What going on!!
The Australian import claims (Vb)(L) 65....with an (Fb)(Hz) 30Hz!!
and an (F3) -3db 32(Hz).
The American model claims a seald box (Vb) 75L....with an (F3) 40Hz!.
And the Chineze boast they now have consistancy in manufacturing!!!.
