EV SP12C with too-low output and too-high coil DCR...
 
Well, I know it's broken :clown:

But what's the likely cause of this? Bad coil winding? I'm seeing about 40-50R on the coil at DC, and measuring about 10dB reduced output. Should I just replace it, or can this be serviced? :dodgy:

Did you check the wiring/solder that leads to the cone?

Up to where they enter the cone, it seems okay. I do think it's possibly a wiring problem on the other side, but I hesitate to cut out the dust cap and whizzer to figure it out (I don't exactly know what I'm doing). The first time I measured, I got 38R, now I get 63R.
