Default Mini slim tour help for good drivers

Hello all !

It's my third project (the two other are not completely finished). Last year, i do two slim enclosure with solid oak. I use rest of hardwood floor.

The inside dimension :
W: 83mm (3.267")
H: 1000mm (39.37")
D: 173mm (6.811")

Volume : 14.4L (.5cu ft)

The efficiency is not very important here. I can use biamping. Probably an active speaker amplification module but won,t to place it inside the enclosure. Anyway, i don't think a got enough place inside ...

I'm open to averything.
Isobaric, side mounted sub, MTM, Tymphany drive or anything else i don't know

No external subwoofer enclosure. This tour need to be standalone !

Try to do more bass as possible with this little beauties ! At last 60hz

Bang & Olufsen do very small speaker with electronic inside (!) with some bass so we can do too.

Hô... Very pricey system .. with class D amplifiers !!! lol So i'm not afraid by class D amp anymore. hehe

I'M open to top loaded tweeter with conical diffuser too. Not a necessity, jost to show you how open is my mind.

Thank's all !

I'm not sure what you are asking for, but I think one of those designs with a tweeter mounted on the top, put in a full range for the midrange at the top of the tower, and put in a sub near the bottom, side mount will give a decent response.

nope. just design one =) best way to learn. The sub mounted under a full range has been done a couple times in the full range forums. I forget what its called.. rapid or something

You might be able to physically fit an SDX7 in the side. The volume is perfect. Build a small 10:1 TL for the top with FF85k/Alpair5/Alpair6 on top.

Much like Tysen.

Hmm interesting.

I think i found my woofer. The Silver Flute w14rc25s04 or 08

The 4 ohm model seems to be more efficient with lower f3. (F3 52hz in 0.35ft³ ported enclosure from 89db)

For the full range, i think about Fostex 83mm drivers.

FE83E
FE87E
FF85K

or some budget alternative : (maybe two in parallel for more efficiency and 4ohm match)

Peerless 78FR2608
TB W23-1287SI 2"x3"
TB W3-593SF

Forget about Mark Audio full range. The baffle is too slim to fit. My corner is 45deg chamfered.

Witch model is more appropriate to match with the woofer and render the better soundstage ?

If i got this two drivers with same efficiency, i will need a simple passive crossover and only one amp !

Thank's again !

I have a project with the W14 and the FF85KeN... i'm using 2 W14 in series so they keep up with the FF85 and deal with bafflestep.

I can't afford it but this is an interesting driver for maybe true fullrange speaker :

http://www.audience-av.com/parts/A3.php

Small 6L enclosure with deep bass ! Can probably mount in pair for small line array ?

But over 200$ per driver .. This is not a 1 000$ project. lol
