Hope this is the right forums for this. I found a pair of aiwa sx51's . wondering if anyone has any experience with these. They feel / look like a decent set. it has 3 "drivers". I think its what you'd call a 2.5 way? They're about 2 ft tall and 1 ft wide and 8 inches deep. I figured I can't reuse the drivers unless i can find spec sheets on them right?
thanks |

You are very unlikely yo find any data on the drivers, to get that you'll have to do some measuring. Shouldn't stop you from playing with them. dave

This reminds me of when I got my very first decent sounding system when I was 10 years old (was great back then!). Was one of the more expensive Aiwa mini systems at that time.. $500 + $150 subwoofer I bought separately about a year later. All my little friends thought I was so awesome, they all wanted to come over and hang out in my room all the time, lol. I finally sold the mini system many years ago, but I still have that little matching subwoofer in storage somewhere, 15 years later. Wow time flies! Good times tho. Thanks for all the memories.
Oh yeah, and x2 on what planet10 said. |

i've built 2 flat-ish response wm-61 mics. i've also got a couple sony ECM-280 condensors.. i think they're relatively flat too. but I dont have anything to measure xmax and fs etc. but maybe i'll try them. they're cheap since they're at the thrift shop. can't beat 3 drivers for 20 bucks right?
