Default Anyone possibly have plans for the "Spires" around?

Hello,

I bought a kit from Creative Sound Solution long ago for the "Spires" (Using Tang Bang speakers)

I've finally gotten around to building them, and I can't find the plans anywhere. When I opened the box, there's no crossovers!

Does anyone know if this kit uses a crossover? Does anyone have the plans so I can see where to place the center divider to get the enclosure size right.

If anyone has built these please reply!

Thanks,

Mark

I sent CSS a quick e-mail. I've been trying to search around to find plans but I can't find any. I wasn't even sure if the speakers had x-overs but I'm fairly certain they do based on a couple posts I've read.

Since I do not have the x-overs I'm really hoping someone has plans for how to make the proper ones, or if I could use something else? If we could find out where they normally are crossed over could I just build a generic one, or is it a lot more 'advanced' then that?

I'm hoping the guy from RAW acoustics chimes in (Was his name Al?)

According to this thread, DIYAudio user RAW is the designer of the Spires. You could try emailing him directly.

Giving this a weekend bump. Still no luck getting in touch with anyone. I've e-mailed Raw. Anyone please have these designs? Would it be possible to use a generic crossover?

Hi,

I have not received any email about this. I have the plans but have been unable to find the crossover layout. The PDF file is too large to attach so please contact me.

Bob

Sunday morning bump!

I got the build plans from CSS (Thanks!) Unfortunately he does not have the plan for the X-over. I'm not sure if there was a plan for the X-over, so my only hope is getting ahold of Raw accoustics which I haven't been able to do.

The build plans do say the speakers are crossed over at approx 2K. Would it be possible to buy a generic x-over? What can I do if I can't find the proper one? They will be rears in a home theater system so they don't have to be steller.

Thanks,

Mark
