hi to all,

i want to start this project and i am totaly new to this.
it looks that for first project this one is a go go for me.

the only thing that stops me from starting it is that i really dont understand the crossover plans here.

thawach thank you for your reply.

it is all chinese to me. it will be so nice if you could clearify for me:

1. what is condencer - maybe link to the product in madisound?

2.what is tw - maybe link to the product in madisound?

3. the instruction say "4 microfarad 400 Volt polypropylene or mylar capacitor" (attached the XO plan) is it say that i should soldering the 4 capacitors in a row on the + wire of the shared + of the tweeter and woofer?

what the simplicity of the XO say about the quality of the speaker? i see XO's with a lot of exotic parts, i know it is not the best speaker but is it worth building it?

in general, is it worth building this speaker or should I keep looking after a better one?

thanks.

You need some basic electronic knowledge to understand what's going on, This site explains capacitors:
http://sound.westhost.com/beginners.htm

'4 microfarads' is value for the component, not a quantity.

The speaker itself uses Vifa drivers, so is probably reasonable quality, it doesn't come simpler than this...
