I have been immensely curious what type of tranmission line would be suitable for the Lambda TD12M. I own a pair and the idea is quite appealing in many ways.
I don't have Martin's software because he isn't sharing it anymore (actually I have the old free one, but not MathCAD). Would it trouble you to model such a driver so I could take a look at what the results would look like? The driver specs for the TD12M are here: TD12M - 8ohm Fs: 38.1Hz Qms: 2.99 Vas: 140L Cms: .35mm/N Mms: 50g Rms: 4kg/s Xmax: 6mm Sd: 531sqcm Qes: .27 Re: 6.6 Le: .2mH Z: 8ohm Bl: 17Tm Pe: 500W Qts: .25 1W SPL: 96.5dB |

Josh I had Paul do a work up last week on the TD12M and after much fiddling he said it just won't work well do to the low Qts.

Thanks Brandon. I used the tables and couldn't figure it out either. Thought it just might not be flexible enough for said driver.

Maybe then the Faital 12PR300 that is on sale might be a better candidated for a TL. I don't want to ask others to do a work up on a list of drivers. I was just curious about the ones I had.

Maybe GM has some tricks up his sleeves that are better or more numerous than mine and can come up with a workable TL for the TD12M?!

Well certainly the high output Z of a SE tube amp which I am using will help, but it seems like it might not be enough. I'd rather not force a solution and instead find the appropriate tool for the job.

Truth is I don't know. I could calculate it but local feedback obscures (to me) the math. Its Pete Millett's SE KT88 E-linear amp.

I asked him some other questions before about the design and he said he lost his notes on it.
