Post Best Small Speakers for the price

Well i'll be getting a TA2020 Amp soon so i need a nice set of speakers.

Does anyone know what are the best speakers for they money for about 100 bucks or so. They dont need to be loud about 30rms.

I mostly listen to rock music (but i want something on the warm side) so what do you suggest.

If you think Ta2020 is not good enough they you can suggest somehing else hehe

Thanks!!!

My best speakers won't be yours so there is no real answer to this question.

As I mainly buy vintage and used equipment my only suggestion would be
to check out the local ads, thrift stores etc. and make sure you can listen.

When others would respond and answer your question you would end up
with a lot of different opinions and suggestions and none might even suggest
the speakers you end up with.

So imho the only answer is 'Use the ears Kitarist'

May the ears be with you on your quest...

Maybe these, since you are from europe: http://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/ct230_en.htm

or these (propably too small for rock) http://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/ct193.htm

100$ for 2 Speakers will be not enough I am afraid. Better buy used speakers instead?

Regards, Micha

If I was given let's say $60 to build a pair of speakers, then this would be the best :

I bought a pair of mine for $40, and that was aussie $ too

Mine is the round 3" version (TangBand W3-1364)

Mind you I have compared this with SF concertino, and there's nothing wrong with it on appropriate SPL. On some are it actually won (not as laid-back, but no hf sparkle).

btw. I looked at PE and they're only $29 each, so $60 a pair is correct.

However the australian price had gone up to A$70 each . I did buy them when AUD was strong against the USD.

Yeah, that's a cutie (about US$26 at PE), and I would mind having that in my center channel to replace the W3-881S in there now.

Poor Kitarist listening to

on these

As Tosh says, using it for a center channel sure would be good but I
can't imagine any rock-warmth coming from these cute midgets.
