JBL 2206 crosswover
I'm a musician (not a tech) and am replacing a 12 driver with a JBL 2206. The specs call for: highest crossover at 1500K. This cab has a 3000K crossover. I note the range of the 2206 is up to 3.5k (I'm assuming major drop-of at the higher frequency's).
Will I hurt the speaker with a 3K X-over? The roll off doesn't bother me (I'll also be running some horns)

Hi b3keys,

No, a higher crossover point for the JBL woofer will not hurt the woofer at all (a LOWER crossover point than specified for, say, a midrange or a tweeter would be a different matter for sure). However, the JBL 2206 will probably not sound good at 3k...

Best regards
