Question Dendritic waveguides

Does anybody know what the principle is supposed to be behind Turbosound's "dendritic" waveguides?

At first look it seem like it might be similar to Tom Danley's "shaded amplitude lens"

See thread:
I Don't Understand.

At a second look it seems there is an extra "snake loop" put in the path of the center of the guide getting a shorter path towards to edge

Some kind of mechanical delay?

I cannot even guess why someone would try to do that. What's the advantage? Won't you just mess up your HF with extra reflection?

It would keep all the paths from the throat to the 'mouth' the same, so they all arrive at the same time and form a planar wavefront for stacking in line array PA systems.

Brett is correct. But there are much easier ways - but they don't look as "cool". And we all know that in audio "looks" is half the goal.

"Paths" means "path lengths" I don't see what insures that the amplitudes will be constant, only the phases.

That is what I meant, but I'm not usually coherent on the morning of ANZAC day.

Brett,

I just noticed your avatar, Does this imply you have some experience with unity horns?

Would you mind if I PM a few questions?

Sure, I have some Unity's but they are not in use yet. My projects evolve at a glacial rate. I have heard William Cowan's system and it is the best I have ever heard.

I am moving this w/e and hope to have the project finished in the coming weeks.
