I'm still trying to figure out the "Driver highlights". 1" soft dome AND Beryllium diaphragm. hmmmmmmm.

The 6.5" Aluminum-ator looks like it has an intense cone breakup, I wish the graph was higher resolution though.

What? No, no.. the "i inch soft dome" is the "ring" surround portion - i.e. the part of the driver that produces a greater percentage of sound at lower freq.s (..just like other ring radiators they produce). How they can call it a "dome" though is anyone's guess. the 3/4 inch center *dome* is of course Be. I'm sure there is some textile edge damping that joins the Be portion to the "ring" portion.

Isn't the "ring" part in this tweeter mostly just a surround? Being that is has +-1.6mm max mech xmax (3.2mm one way!) It looks like just a big surround that would also help dampen the metal dome.

Driving a tweeter to Xmech will surely damage it. Xmax for this tweeter is +/- 0.2mm
