The distance between the back of my computer desk and wall is about 7 inches. Attached is my concept of a ML-TQWT design using a JX92S. The reason for the wacky angle is to try to cross the drivers in front of the listening position as recommended.
Any comments?

for near field listening, I'd be pointing the speakers at my ears...

For near field listensing, I would choose Alpair5 or CHR70 instead of the JX92S.

I already have the Jordans. I was trying to come up with a design for them.

Letting speakers cross behind you is much much better.

You could also try a variation on GM's 31" MLTL, by folding it horizontally. You might find Jim Griffin's original reflex makes more sense for desktop use.
Incidentally, I have tried the trick of aiming the speakers to cross behind the head but didn't think it worked as well as crossing in front. The image seemed to collapse back into the speakers. Aiming direct at the ears isn't recommended due to the driver's rising HF. It's there to offset the effect of the extreme toe-in. |

I don't want them ON the desktop. I want them BEHIND the desk, standing on the floor.
