Default Parts express coaxial 12 inch?

I recently stumbled upon these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...ewRand=2387504

I believe there may have been a discussion before, but I have searched and have not found a good resource.

Anyone have any experience with these? I will likely do a passive crossover. There is a suggestion on that page for a 24db/octave crossover, but I don't know the source or its implementation.

For my application, they will be used open baffle crossed over between 80-120hz.

Thank you!

Ok - what will you use it for??

And it isn't (according to the picture) coaxial.

And there are a lot of complaints about Xmax of the driver, so open-baffle may not be a good idea...

Yes, and I understand it's a very stiff driver, so hard to get bass - at least on OB.

I'll be trying a pair of these next week (not mine.) Will post what I find.

Chris, have another look. the tweeter is mounted on the back and it exits through a very small horn behind the (supposed) transparent dust cap. Lots of companies do it this way.
