Default SPL from additional drivers


From the SS D2905/9700 specification of Xmax = 0.5 mm linear and 8.5 cm^2 cone area you estimate an SPL = 101 dB at 1400 Hz, 1 m, free space, closed box. Add to this 6 dB lift from the baffle and 6 dB from the midrange contribution for a total of 113 dB SPL.
How does the midrange contribution work? Is it exactly the same as if two tweeters are used (assuming no interference)? Through what frequency range is this 6dB boost effective? The sensitivity doesn't go up, correct?
