Default very simple dear Watson

You know what a crossover is for speakers, Right ol chap?
And you what speakers are.
And it has nothing to do with the crossover it self, yet it has to with improving the sound, yet it is at the crossover frequency.

Let me see if I can rephrase the question.

When is a crossover network more than just the board and components?

Ya still got me. Maybe you should try and rephrase the question.

When the network takes in account of the speakers acoustic tranfer function as well as it's electrical.

We can certainly agree on that but that's a crossover.

I am wondering if Mr McMahon has another surprise up his sleeve. I for one can't wait. The suspense is killing me.

Default The answer is a tweeter phase alignment

On my design since the tweeter is in the middle and the crossover is also in the middle I am making it so the the tweeter baffle can be moved forward or backward to match the crossover point and be matched.
