Default T port junction

from another forum, someone posed a question about ports. basically what happens with a port with a T- junction:

i was thinking it wouldn't follow the ported model as well. any info on what would happen?

This will probably answer your question, if I understood the diagram correctly...

not to sound dumb, but how do i apply this to the question at hand? i meant you have a T junction, with sound entering 2 sides, then leaving the middle.

Oh! Sorry, I read your diagram wrong. I assumed that was a flanged end.

Perhaps a better way to look at it would be a pair of vented boxes stuck together, with the vents combined... although how to model this performance, I have no idea, other than to build it and see.
