It's about 1/4 inch.
I use them with sound cards without a preamp or a battery, though, I think I will try with a battery at some point. DEFINATELY download ARTA, I love it. I use the free version, but I'd like to buy it at some point. Speaker Workshop, SoundEasy, an LspCAD have all been very frustrating, but I eventually figured out how to design crossovers in LspCAD using measurements from ARTA, how to measure FR and Impedance in ARTA, and, somewhat, how to use Speaker Workshop too. If all your doing is working on improving your own speakers, then, being able to measure with the home-made panasonic mic will be much better than getting an SPL meter, IMHO. I got a preamp kit from Parts Express for about $9 (Vellman). I hope to build it soon. |
