Default Dumpster Dive

I found a pair of speakers at the dump and hauled them home. They are small 2-ways with 8" woofers. Ambient model SR22D.

They were made by Ambient in South Easton, MA and appear to be from the 70s school of New England speaker manufacturer.

The crossover is glued to the back of the enclosure and has two hand wound inductors, one cap and a resistor.

The woofers have a Polydax sticker on the back and were made in France. They also have two resistors paralleled at the connectors.

I can't read the name of the tweeter manufacturer, but they were made in Belgium.

The surrounds on the woofers are shot, so I'll probably replace those and let my daughter have them for her room.

I googled about Ambient, but didn't turn up very much. The search terms "Ambient" and "Speaker" are far too general. Does anyone have any information about the manufacturer of these speakers?

Thanks,
pete

Why... maybe they are still under warrantee
Most probably similar to one of many Boston/NE stereo house brands built by flyby outfits.

That seems likely. The enclosure is fairly lightweight and kind of slapped together.
