I'm in the process of building two floor standing speakers. Just some stuff I had laying around.. anything terribly wrong with what I'm doing? Box is built out of 1/2" MDF with a good amount of bracing and separate enclosure for the mid/highs.
1x Dayton Classic 6.5" woofer (side firing) 4x Pioneer NSB 4" 69 cent speakers 2x Onkyo 3/8" tweeters Crossovers are 12dB/octave active Low-pass @ 200Hz Band-pass 200Hz-6KHz High-pass 6KHz Overall outer dimensions (in): 5.25 (front)x7.5(side)x49 Volume for 6.5" woofer cabinet: ~0.5cu ft - 0.55cu ft, considering adding a 2"x9" port Pioneers and tweeters are rear mounted. 3/8" radius on the holes. 3/8" radius on all cabinet corners. |
