Default New Speaker Technology - The Future

Has anyone seen the EMO Labs products? It won't take too many years before the walls in our homes become speaker surfaces.

This sounds like similar technology to the NXT buzzers you can get from Parts Express:

... I wouldn't hold my breath.

Martin the parts you referenced are interesting, and bring up the question as to how EMO makes their panels move air.

Thanks for pointing these out.

This is a very old technique. Instead of moving air in and out like a traditional speaker the idea is to induce resonants in a large surface. Tons of so called "patents" have been introduced on this 1920's design concept. Very few of whom have succesfully been used in any sort of quality speaker.
