B&O Pentas with ICE 250ASC
I have a pair of B&O Pentas (beovox, non amplified). I've been looking for a while to get the power up as I'm running an Cambridge Audio amp (max 100w).
I've had a few Tripaths before and the sound was stunning. The Cambridge Audio is decent enough but nothing like that Class T. So, I'm thinking of buying two ICE 250ASC's. For one, it offers the exact power rating the Pentas (150w, 8ohm) can handle (130W 1%THD, 150W 10%THD).
My reason for posting is to see if anybody has fitted these boards to the bottom of the Pentas. I've had the bottoms off and the crossover network is the most complex I have ever seen for a speaker system. It looks like I could squeeze them in through the middle however.
I also dont know what extra heatsink's I need on those 250ASC boards, if any? That could complicate things.
Yeah I know, I could buy some other setup but the B&O Pentas sound is to die for at moderate volumes.
Hell the Pentas even come with wiring to the displays at the top so I can tell when the board is clipping or in standby. It just seems so "perfect".
