Is it possible to mount tweeter in front of woofer

In order to have a slim cabinet for a line array, I want to mount the tweeter in front of the woofer. Crossover frequency is about 3.1Khz

1) Is it possible to compensate for the acoustic center offset of about 45 mm 'ween woofer/tweeter with an all pass filter (its gonna be an active setup)?

2)Given that the woofer is about 4" and the tweeters are a little over an inch (dayton neos, after cutting the flanges). What is the effect of the tweeter blocking part of the cone? Is it audible to a reasonalby good ear?

it's possible,
but then the sound has to get around the tweeter some how.
at 3khz, that's not easy to do.

Doesn't a Neo tweeter make this approach easy physically, cross-over I'm not qualified to comment on, but so much neater than others I've seen
