So I love the Hiquphon OW1 and Seas W18NX 2-way design I build a few years back but am convinced it can be better with a woofer(s). The original XO design was done by Dennis Murphy and gives the speaker a great well rounded sound, detailed but warm. So the (ported) 2-way does pretty decently with lower octave material. I'm ready for a more robust design and want to convert the OW1/W18NX to just highs/mids while adding most likely dual P18RNX/P drivers.
High - Hiquphon OW1 Mid - Seas W18NX Woofer(s) - 2x Seas P18RNX/P (long throw 7"s) And BTW I want to make it a curved cabinet. Any tips for how to accomplish this would be great. I am not fully familiar with types of wood that bend easily enough to make the bends I'm talking about here. I've attached a drawing. |
