Hello, I bought a pair old vintage EV 12TRX coaxial drivers, and they play, but, I found the cone edge foldings sticky coat is dry. Please tell me what kind of coat is this, so I can recoat it and make it soft again because as now, the bass is lacking. I saw lots of old speakers edges have a coating like Altec, Tannoy and others old vintage one. Thank you

This thingie is called damping compound.
Thirty years ago I once had a smal bottle of this that I got from an old guy who modified old fullrange drivers. I only know that he got it from the US but not who the manufacturer was. Regards Charles |

I found something called "Rubber Cement" here, US made. I wonder it works as the old sticky thing.....or will it destroy or protect?
