Less-expensive, quality, far Eastern drivers suggestions?
I am going to build a three-way active speaker enclosure and have been looking at the prices of drivers. I am thinking of using The Peerless 830667 in a sealed cabinet (don't like reflex bass sound) and a Vifa p13wh 00 8 together with a suitable tweeter in a separate cabinet. The drivers are well known brand and carry a premium price. Knowing how practically everything electronic comes from the far east nowadays and I believe these speakers are actually manufactured there, isn't there some lesser known Eastern manufacturers producing equivalents to these speakers in quality but beating them on price. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. |
