they look old school
, but from a looks point of view, i wish they would make the faceplate for the tweeter a little more special, no doubt it/they will be expensive.

Yeah, the wood phase plug is ugly, real ugly. Especially since a metal phase plug has the added benefit of increasing voice coil cooling. Maybe they could not get the magnetics to work well with a metal phase plug?
Not my cup of tea.

I really hoped to see something else when opened this thread. The tweeter seems nice, might sound nice and clip different but the woofer has a nasty break-up for a pape cone... Oh well..
I don't understand why nobody aplies tehniques used in widerange design (supravox, lowther, phy-hp, fostex) and make a nice, linear, well behaved and well controlled break-up midrange/woofer/ whatever... |

Audax have just re-released a comparable tweeter for 90€, so maybe this "big buck" driver comes a bit too late.
