I see you use Intertechnik Audyn caps and Torobar inductors... Quite good.

What type of wood do you suggest for the case ?

Birch plywood is great.

When you work precise you can paint it transparent and it looks like veneer. And it has the acoustic behavior you want and it is not extreme heavy.
