Default Recommendations wanted for sub-mini nearfield monitors using ScanSpeak 15W.

Current living arrangements mean that I need some really small speakers for near-field use (speakers and me will form a 5-foot equilateral triangle), and was hoping I could get some tips. I've got some ScanSpeak 15Ws coming in the mail, and would like to use them in small sealed boxes (about 1/4 cubic foot) crossed over at about 80hz to a TC Sounds Epic 12 (in another sealed box). I'm in the process of buying a DCX2496, and I've got 150WPC of Rotel power for the woofers, 60WPC of yet more Rotel power for the tweeters, and 800 watts for the sub.

So, here are the questions:

1. Tweeter. I've got some BG Neo3PDRWs; I've never used them before, but have heard them in some Martin Logans. While I thought that the speaker overall was horrible (something was wrong with the midbass drivers), I really liked the treble.

That said, there are better tweeters out there. Would using the Neo3 be putting pearls before swine, or should I save up and buy something else? And, if so, should I go for some more Revelators, Hiquphons, or something else?

2. Box size. I was thinking of building them 11" tall, 12" wide, and about 12" deep. To smooth out the dispersion, I intend to use 3" roundovers on the sides of the speaker and a 3/4" roundover along the top and bottom. That said, I've heard a lot of discussion on the narrow baffle vs. wide baffle discussion - what would you recommend?

Hi,

IMO, you only need to baffle compensate the M driver if you offset the NEO3-PDR (XO>= 2 kHz) by placing as close as possible to one corner on the flattest parts of your baffle. Argument: See picture: 1(1)

The combination could work well.
Note for nearfield you need reduced baffle step.
