Default 40-1377 tweeter

They are half spheres with a slot in the middle.

I know what ones your talking about. Good luck sourcing one. I believe that RS also used them in a model of 3 ways they had at the time. You may want to start looking to replace the pair. They've been gone from the RS catalog for close to 20 years.

That would be them. At least the ones I'm thinking about. I'm sure those are the same as the OP is looking for.

Here is a link to a better picture of the Mach TWO -

http://www.audiokarma.org/gallery/sh...&size=big&cat=

First, is your speaker that Realistic Mach TWO?

If you go to Radio Shack you can still find specifications on the speaker system.

http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/7269.htm

The tweeter for the Mach 2 is listed as -

11088648 . . . SPEAKER,BI-RADIAL HORN . . . SP5413

Which does not seem to be the horn tweeter you referenced.

Here is a list of all of Radio Shack's historical parts -

http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/17320.htm

Find your speaker model there, and see if you can get details on the crossover points.

For example -

Listed in Features for the Mach 2 -

"The 15" (38 cm) high-compliance woofer speaker faithfully reproduces rich bass from 25 to 800 Hz. The 5" cone midrange speaker gives exceptionally smooth response from 800 to 6,000 Hz."

That implies the crossovers for this system are 800hz and 6,000hz.

Which probably means you can use virtually any tweeter that will fit and has the same impedance.

Note, in searching Google for the Mach TWO, I found several people in various forums who have Mach 2's that had blown woofers. If you can find one of these people who would sell you their tweeters, that might be a solution.

So, what is the exact model of your speaker system?
