Default News top of the line speakers from CES

HI,
Some big names here, eh?
These models have taken my curiousity ( from Stereophile's blog):

- Vivid Giya
- Vandersteen model 7
- Magico V5 (?) ( not top of Magico)
- Pass SR-1 ( the Son of Rushmore)

Anyone have listened ?
Technical Comments?

Cheers,
Paolo

Come on guys, are you really not interested in those high-end speakers?

L. Dickie, R. Vandersteen, A. Wolf, N. Pass are some of the most
capable here..... maybe we can learn something,no?

Cheers,
Paolo

I got to listen to a few top end speakers - but none on your list.

Briefly heard the Green Mountain speakers and they seemed very good indeed. Very smooth, very clean.

Also GamuT had some $$$ floor standing modlels that were very nice on orchestral -big, wide sound. Small drivers, too - which surprised me.

The new Maganpan "Mystery Speaker" was killer. Everyone seemed to like it.

Hi panomaniac,
One is better than nothing!

Very interesting your comment; I know Green Mountain Audio is a little artisan that make his work with extreme passion.....and he use first order filter also ( that I adore!)

Gamut I never have listened

Do you mean Magneplanar?

Cheers,
Paolo

if I ever buy a speaker instead of building them, I'll get me a pair of these (the largest I can afford)... I heard a pair 2 years ago on a show in Germany and I am in love ever since @inertial: yes, Magnepans are using mangnetic planar technology
