Has anyone tried this? I have a room of 4.5 m x4m x 2.8m high.
I could make baffles any size really as it is WAF free. The Drivers are 15" HPD. Don`t mind losing some bass as there is tons as is with reflex cabs. Will efficiency drop much? Any pros or cons appreciated. |

Hi,
I had my HPD 315's 12" in Open Baffle, i really liked them and they worked well for low Q drivers. my room was 11ft square. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/1...oto0078ai0.jpg http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/9...to00271mi0.jpg ended up buying some cheviot cabinets for them though. |

I don't know much about ob speaker design, but I built a rough-up pair with some old celestion 12" drivers for bass and they work and sound great.
Do a search on here for Graham Maynard's T-Bass. This really helped me get awesome bass from my cobbled together design. Cheers, Lee. |
