Default Newb question about impedence curve and crossovers?

Hi,
I have a question about making crossovers on an impedence curve of a driver.

Say I want to make a crossover at around 3000hz on a woofer thats 8 ohms and a tweeter thats 4 ohms. Lets just say 12db LR. If I measure the impedence of the woofer at 3000hz it measures the impedence at 10.9 ohms for the woofer and 3.23 for the tweeter.

Would it be better to choose my crossover components at the measured impedence or the marked impedence...

Thanks for your help JohnnyP.

Problem is that impedance changes all the way through
RC is a way to make a steady and predictable impedance
That each driver have different impedance doesnt matter, as each driver should be handled individually, as well as together

But still difficult to calculate
If you dont use measurement it might be better to use your ears carefully, rather than rely on simple calculations...but still very difficult

Fore a start the best you can do is to study as many well reputed speaker designers as possible
