The Artist and their Audience

Excellent essay over at Luminous Landscape about the relationship between an artist and their audience. At first blush, this might not seem to have anything to do with DIYAudio, but I'd submit it has a lot to do with what we do here, since there are so many different "styles" of building loudspeakers, with very different personalities.

People react to audio, music, and sound in very different ways - and other people's reactions to what we design has an effect on what we do next, or if we choose to modify what we have.

Another thought-provoking essay - Just Say Yes - by the same photographer, Alain Briot. Although the primary subject is fine art photography, it covers many of the decisions we have to make as designers.
