Vifa 8 inch woofer

Madisound has a Vifa 8 inch woofer on sale for 15 bucks. I was thinking of using these to make some garage speakers. The ad recommends a sealed box. Win ISD indicates a ported box at 2.8 cu ft. Any recommendations?

3 cubic feet is large for a small driver - that one is really a 6.5" woofer, not 8". I have some woofers very much like yours - almost exactly in fact. Mine were infinity buyouts (299-493 at Parts express, IIRC) I put them in 24 liter boxes, (just under a cubic foot) I am very happy with their bass extension sealed. I actually wish I had used a slightly smaller box. These are not for ported boxes.
