Hello Everyone,
I would like to get a new center channel for my HT setup. I built a set of SR71s last year, which are great, now I would like a center channel/sub that is a reasonably close match to them. So far I'm liking the MTM or MTM 4 from occam audio mainly because I can get them as a kit with a cabinet and I can buy them in Canada from CSS. I also like the SD10/SD12 subs for the same reasons. That being said I am very much open to other recommendations. I really don't want to spend the time to build a full cabinet, but I would be fine with cutting out the baffles of something like the parts express cabinets. Something not too big would be good as well, hopefully 0.5ft^3 or less for the center channel and 1.5-2ft^3 for the sub. As far as sound goes I would just like something that matches well with my SR71s. A far as subs go I really despise boomy/muddy bass, so maybe a sealed enclosure would be best. I don't need (or want) to shake the stipple off the ceiling, just want to fill in the low end a bit. Are there any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
